These study guides prepare you for the three FCC Amateur license examinations used in the United States. Each guide addresses the questions in the related license question pool, with each chapter covering one of the ten license question areas. For each question, the guide provides the question and the correct answer with an explanation for that answer. Additionally, the guide explains why many of the distraction answers are incorrect. Each chapter starts with relevant background information, tables, and figures to help understand the chapter’s topics. You will learn about the regulations governing amateur radio communications, good amateur practice in the operating modes, and basic radio math and electronics through the questions and answers.
Each guide is revised as new question pools are released, generally every four years, or if the question pool is modified between releases.

Introduction to PCM Telemetering Systems, Third Edition summarizes the techniques and terminology used in sending data and control information between users and the instruments that collect and process the data. Fully revised, it gives an overall systems introduction to the relevant topics in three primary areas: system interfaces; data transport, timing, and synchronization; and data transmission techniques. Integrating relevant information about the process at all levels from the user interface down to the transmission channel, this will also include how designers apply relevant industry and government standards at each level in this process. Homework problems are included at the end of each chapter.
The textbook was developed for classes at New Mexico State University and for professional engineering short courses.
